Save the Best for Last （將最好的留在最後-- 笑到最後，笑得最好）

凡妮莎威廉斯（Vanessa Williams）是美國選美史上首位非裔美國小姐。１９８３年，她豔冠群芳，榮登選美冠軍寶座。但在她就任美國小姐不久，一個當年為她拍攝試驗性照片的攝影師看到了商機。攝影師把她與另一位模特兒的裸身側影照，處理成隱含一對女同性戀者的曖昧關係，試圖賣給成人雜誌《花花公子》(Playboy) 的總裁海夫納。海夫納是個好色之徒，金屋藏嬌無數，一生有成千個性伴侶。但是，他在大是大非麵前卻毫不含糊。為了保護首位非裔美國小姐的未來，海夫納毅然拒絕了這筆買賣。該攝影師繼而向另一個成人雜誌《閣樓》(Penthouse) 兜售，《閣樓》迫不及待地出版了這批照片。凡妮莎威廉斯這輯大膽的實驗照片，當即引起了當時還比較保守的美國社會一陣轟動和批評。在沉重的輿論壓力下，威廉斯被迫卸下美國小姐桂冠。堅強的她並沒有因此被擊倒。她用了七年時間去證明。除美貌之外，她還是一個歌唱和演藝天才。她後來在歌唱 (《風中奇緣》 Pocahontas)、電影 (《我的兄弟》 My Brother)、和電視(《醜女貝蒂》 Ugly Betty) 領域大放異彩，獲格萊米、艾米和托尼獎。
