Six of us made to the top of Half Dome again on Sunday, 05/27. It took us a little over 13 hours this time. We felt much easier than last time, even though we hiked from camp site, without taking shuttle bus. We have a 12 years old boy among us. He just had some trouble on the cable trail on the way up, but made it with protection and pushes from behind.
This time I remember the exact location of the small spring/fountain, which is the last water source on the way up:
Less than quarter of a mile pass the junction of the Clouds Rest(?). It is on the left, behind a lone tree trunk lie parallel next to the trail. You can’t see the water from the trail. The water is drinkable. The trunk is about 1 meter wide and 10 meter long.
