This is what the reader said - They allow any number of stops on a one-way award so long as the total number of miles flown doesn’t exceed 150% of the distance between the origin and final destination. For example, you can’t fly JFK-Abu Dhabi-Frankfurt because that’s more than 150% of the distance from JFK-Frankfurt. However, theoretically you could fly IAD-Abu Dhabi-Frankfurt because that’s 148% of the distance from IAD-Frankfurt. So for anyone looking to get to Europe in style, this is a pretty fun routing, and with the Chase transfer bonus it’s even sweeter! BTW he learned the routing rules from Ricky's site.
