“Dharavi basically is a reclaimed land . Essentially what it means is that it was “ No Man's land”. In legal terns, no man lands belong to the Government, created under state statute. As much as 79% lands belong to Municipal Corporation. The Corporation has either leased out to some entities , or gave tenure as Vacant Land tenancies , or built own staff quarters or created tenancies such as in Shahu Nagar or Labor camp. The private tenancies also includes land of Governments from other states. The are plans of redevelopment of Dharavi or Dharavi as vibrant economy or Dharavi on world map as “ Slum Dog Millionaire “ , It continues to be most difficult place. It may be Slum, but in actuality, it's one of most vibrant economic hub, others similar competitor being one at Chembur .. The land at Dharavi completely belongs to Government . Infact whole city once belonged to India, than captured by Portugese and given in dowry to British Prince and than to East Indian Company on 99 years lease after battle of plassey in 1757. until l queen took it over in 1858 and later handed over to Independent India. The Government appears to have given up the urban renewal of Dharavi as the people there find themselves to be happily placed in current status. Actually in Mumbai, the slums may be eye sore , yet single structure will cost more than a crore That's the secret of land prices in Mumbai.”----from web

本想緩過勁兒後再去溜達一圈的,但一想到簽證又心煩了。。。上次的簽證過程讓原本出發前100%的憧憬打掉30%的折扣。嘻嘻

準備周末去看Hotel Mumbai, 看到IMDb的review高達7.7。
