The Will is the direction of human kind. But the desire and the thinking mind always mess things up.
I was optimistic, but I am getting more and more pessimistic about the Will triumphing over (戰勝!) or defeating (打敗!) the desire and the thiking mind.
Western philosophy is mostly the product of the thinking mind.
"在大方向大時間跨度上，是不以人的意誌為轉移的。"
You are not getting the notions right. 大方向 is 意誌. Humans don't have a separate 意誌 when it is authentic.
唯物主義 can not see the Will.
