Synchronicity in the temporal sense is similar to lineups in the spacial sense which are consequences of members of a community coming from a shared origin.
For instance, the moon and the earth didn't come into existence as ready-made objects. They formed bit by bit, and are always in less then perfectly spherical shapes. As well, water on the surface of the earth keeps adjusting the orientation of the moon in forms of tides. The result is what we see today: we see the same side of the moon.
In reality, a single human being acting as a unity is no less mysterious then a nation of human beings acting as a unity.
