China's progress is obvious unless one is blind or pretending blind to see it. Those who see it already see it. Those who pretend not seeing it wouldn't stop pretending. Therefore this type of writing has no proper audience after all. It only serves to suggest its author as a self-absorbed, boastful nationalist. It also serves to distract a thinker from those issues pointed out by 為人父 . And besides, only survivors can enjoy the country's achievements today. Many didn't survive a sequence of mistakes made by the nation (governmental or not).
