the island symbolizes either China or the western country in which you now live, or, simply the modern way of life, but you don' t seem to like it and think of leaving it. The man symbolizes your husband and the elderlies your parents. Yet none of them encourages you with your attempt to break free from your reality.

The island used to be good as you once knew it but it is no longer so.

My interpretation may be utterly foolish. If so, just have a good laugh.
