原創平水韻七絕

 

三徑何尋五柳家？風搖百草一聲嗟。

詩囊抖出東籬句，埋在南山種菊花。

 

Tao Yuānmíng (陶淵明) reinvented himself in prose and poetry. A man of property, he enjoyed writing about peace without prosperity. Indeed, he had successfully portrayed himself as a dirt-poor intellectual rebel drunk on idyll. Between the lines and beyond, he defined what the idyllic dreamland was and should be. By doing so, he also defied what the real world was and had always been. Today his idyllic dreamland is still the ultimate sanctuary for like-minded global villagers.
