BB could be right. The so-called Science Guy Bill Nye is ignorant. Rubbing the football could warm it up, thus increase the pressure. You only need to increase its temperature to about 86F (30C) from around 70F. When its temperature dropped to 45F, the pressure will drop from 12.5 psi to 10.5 psi.
