SAN ANTONIO - Here's the latest forecast for Game 2 of the NBA Finals: Cool ... and hopefully it will stay that way.
The Spurs announced Friday that their air-conditioning system that broke down Thursday night has been fixed and should be in good working order for Sunday when they play the Heat.
"The AC system has been tested, is fully operational and will continue to be monitored," the team announced.
The Spurs apologized for the sauna-like conditions in their AT&T Center that KO'd LeBron James with leg cramps twice and for the final four minutes of the game. The temperature at courtside rose to just over 90 degrees during the Spurs' 110-95 romp.
Although the players did not think the game should have been canceled, they all complained about the conditions.
St. Croix native Tim Duncan said he had not played in such heat "since I left the islands."
