which many people seem to willingly underestimate. nobody likes being proven wrong, especially the "experts". just because someone is a manager or a coach, doesn't make him a more reasonable person. you see people arguing on the internet to no end on senseless disagreements. how do you think a regular person will like being screamed at by the boss for screwing up work? it's nature for people to look for a scapegoat to shift the blame. the rockets owner brought lin back, not morey or mchale, both of whom passed up on lin. lin's presence is always a reminder of their misjudgement. the same applies to many analysts and "experts" who called linsanity a fluke, and with a reputation to protect, they are always lurking for the moment to happily come out and say "i told you so".

lin a solid starter level pg, who can occasionally play at star level. he could easily be fitted into a team as a second or third option scorer or playmaker. with proper development, it's possible for lin to become a star player. but he's never given the chance. people either demand all star performance from him or call him a scrub. it seems lin could never have the luxury to be accepted just for who he is.
