bottom line is lin works for himself

not for the team or anybody else. here in the west, loyalty and sacrifice is not ranked very high, and it'll be foolish to blindly trust any organization or individual. of course, lin shouldn't just go out there and become outright selfish. that would be suicide. what i mean is lin should not only play hard, but also play smart. always study the situation and play in a way that maximize his own value.
conspiracy theories aside, the rockets has not treated lin kindly in the past year. he was a significant factor in bringing the rockets to the playoffs, and this year he's rewarded by being benched, all the while under constant barrage from his teammates and the coach. this is not a team to stay.
