basically the rockets management tried to create a yao out of lin, but miscalculated lin's influence in mainland china, which is nearly 0. they're probably regretting giving lin such a big contract now.
lin should just stay calm and enjoy playing. don't take it personal because it's just business. if he continues the present performance, it's highly possible some other team will come to him.
