I agree it's a hard foul, stupid and unnecessary play,

but then it was acting all the way. JVG hates flopping with a passion.

In terms of flagrant fouls, I am perfectly fine to rule all hard fouls (any play not to go after the ball) as some kind of technical, but you can't just rule it occasionally, at will. You have to be consistent. As it's standing now, this shouldn't a flagrant foul at that point of the game.
