I kind of feel bad for KG and Pierce

not that I am a fan of them. A basketball game lasts 48 minutes, and it's an imperfect game. Both sides will make dozens of mistakes in many many possessions. There are uncontrollable insidents and games could easly be influenced by officiating. That's why at any given night, any team can beat any one.

However, in playoffs, 2 teams facing each other for at least 4 consecutive times. Therefore, there is no surprise between them. There is no move, play, or strategy that your opponent hasn't seen. Especially, teams in same conference face 3 to 4 times a year, year after year. That's why it all comes down to executions, and on the end, it's all about individual talents and team play. 

Without Rondo, with KG and Paul both passed their primes long time ago, Green still raw, Boston Celtics just doesn't have enough horse power or fire power to carry them over the finish line. 

Celtics started very well, both offensively and defensively, and winning simply on executions. But if you don't have enough to execute perfectly throughout 48 mins, you are just going to hand it over to the more talented team.

Dark horse happened before, but normally was due to regular season injury on key players. In other words, with full strength, those teams would not have been seeded that low in playoffs. But if they do, and their key players come back on time and in form, they will have a dark horse surprising chance. But this Celtics team is not going to have Rondo back, nor would KG drink youth juice to turn the close back. They will continue to put up a good fight, especially at home. But unfortunately, that's probably just not enough.
