you just can't afford a 8 million backup point guard. If that happens, you just don't know where they will ship you. Most likely, a remote place with very crappy team and small market, hoping to get some support from Asian fans. 

Team position on the NBA map matters. Look at Al Jefferson, who was a legit 20-10 player when he was young, with lots of upside and promises. But his better years were with Minisota, a losing team at a small market. Did anyone care about his 23-11? Do most fans here even know about him?
