Rockets vs. Warriors: Dominance at Home Will Continue for Golden State Friday
riday night, the Houston Rockets visit the Golden State Warriors in a battle between two of the NBA's young and exciting teams. The Warriors have been consistently winning at home and this will continue against the Rockets.
Both squads play exceptionally well at home but have struggled in road games. This is where Golden State holds the advantage.
The Warriors (35-27) have lost only seven games at Oracle Arena in Oakland this season.
The team is coming off of consecutive wins, both at home, including an exciting 87-83 victory over the Sacramento Kings in their last outing.
Klay Thompson hit the game-winning three-point shot with 7.5 seconds left to help the Warriors escape a scare from the lowly Kings.
Thompson led a well-balanced scoring attack in that matchup, scoring a game-high 20 points. David Lee added 17 points and 10 rebounds, while Harrison Barnes scored 14 and Stephen Curry contributed 13 points in the win.
Interestingly enough, the Rockets were the last team to beat the Warriors at Oracle Arena. James Harden and Stephen Curry went toe-to-toe, scoring 27 points each in a 116-107 Rocket's win.
Since then, Golden State has won it's last four home games, including a 107-101 victory over the San Antonio Spurs, who own the best record in the NBA at 48-14.
The Rockets (33-29) have struggled mightily on the road this season. They are 13-20 in road games and are coming off a 112-108 loss at the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday.

Both times that these two young teams have met this season, the Rockets have prevailed. The Warriors will be out for some revenge and will look to continue their home success Friday.
Most importantly, the Warriors will want to earn back some respect after getting blown out by the Rockets by 31 last month in Houston. The Rockets set an NBA record with 23 three-pointers that game.
Though Harden has been outstanding, Jeremy Lin has been a Warrior killer this season, averaging 21 points and nearly 10 assists per game against them.
It will be as difficult as always to shut down Harden, but if the team can slow down Lin, then they will stand a better chance of winning.
Mark Jackson's club is ready to get over the hump against Harden and the Rockets this time. The team has won eight of their last nine home games and will be heavily motivated in this matchup.
Prediction: The Warriors will win this one, continuing their strong success at home and finally getting revenge on the Rockets.
