He was brought in for defense only, especially for rebounding. Man, how he collected rebounds like vacuum just amazes me. He's the only consistent defensive presense, and he's the only qualified defender on this team. On top of that, he runs the floor pretty well, and finishes better and better. He's now averaging double digit in scoring. Who would have thought?!
10.5 - 11.6, what a steal? His butter fingers in the beginning of the season seem to be more used to passes, and every now and then he puts up some nice baby hooks or spin moves. Given his work ethic, he will become a very good center.
Now, except for him, Rockets are doing a piss-poor job in rebounding department, especially from the PF position. That's probably also part of the reason for the recent trade. Also, at 6'3, Jeremy's 3.4 rebounds per game could really need some improvement. He has to learn to stay in position - reduce his gambling and stay in front of the player he's defending, and make better judgement in helping, so that he will be in better position for long boards.
They are young, and they will improve.
