Lin has come a long way in becoming one of the stronger players in the Rockets roster this season. Many Houston fans were wondering if having Lin on board was a good idea, but in the last 2-3 months these doubts were squashed and Lin has now become one of Houston fan favorites. He definitely complements Houston's other star player Harden, and his speed at getting down the court to make a play is earning a lot of respect among the team. That being said, he's not an elite yet and his past disappointments earlier this season are not easy to forget in Houston. Lin will become an all-star, but for him and the Rockets to succeed, he cannot be given free reign amongst the team. Both will fail if expectations and Lin's actual performance are not in sync.
Right now, Lin cannot shoot 3 pointers worth beans. His left side dribble needs a lot of work and others steal the ball away from him when he approaches from the left side. “Weak men wait for opportunities; strong men make them”. In Lin's case, he is gradually settling in Houston and some day his chance will come.
