talk the after game report?  What is the different between his word and an ESPN guy's?  He is not the owner, he is not the GM, he does not make business decision who to sign and how much to sign.  It is not his job.

A contract negotiation goes both way.  The Knicks could approach Lin, Lin could approach the Knicks.  Both parties didn't approach each other because both think the final deal should be more than the MLE.  In this case, why do you want the Knicks to offer a MLE? to insult Lin?
