Russian Oligarch Roman Abramovich has been sanctioned by the U.K. government, meaning the billionaire owner of Chelsea Football Club cannot move forward with the sale of the London Club which is worth more than £9 billion ($11.85 billion).
Abramovich, which has owned Chelsea since 2003, put the club up for sale last week and said he would donate the proceeds to a new charity to support victims of the war in Ukraine.
