五十步笑一百步，大都呈現衰弱跡像。男足：中美都未獲得入場券。女足：中國小組未出線；美國半決賽被淘汰。男排：中國未獲入場券；美國小組未出線。女排：中國小組未出線；美國奪冠無望。男籃：中國未獲入場券；美國奪冠無望。唯有女籃：兩國都有拿牌的希望。其他大球類前瞻：2024，中國男足有望參加巴黎奧運。2028年落衫磯奧運將增加美式橄欖球項目，美國有望在這項目上連奪五冠，維持至少20年霸主地位。
