Veteran guard Jeremy Lin officially signs with Warriors G League affiliate
During the extended offseason, the Golden State Warriors were reportedly expressing interest in veteran free agent guard Jeremy Lin. The rumored interest followed with reports indicating Lin was close to signing with the Warriors’ G League affiliate in Santa Cruz. However, nothing became official.
Fast forward to January, Lin has officially signed with Golden State’s G League affiliate. The 32-year-old guard will play for the Santa Cruz Warriors in the G League edition of the Orlando Bubble.

The Bay Area native spent nine seasons with eight different NBA teams before playing the 2019-20 season in the Chinese Basketball Association with the Beijing Ducks. During his season in the CBA, Lin averaged 22.3 points on 49.1% shooting from the field with 5.7 rebounds, 5.6 assists, and 1.8 steals per contest.
Lin began his NBA career out of Harvard with the Warriors as an undrafted rookie free agent in 2010. In 29 games with the Warriors, Lin averaged 2.6 points on 38.9% shooting from the field with 1.4 assists and 1.2 rebounds.
Following his stint with Golden State, Lin led the “Linsanity” movement with the New York Knicks during the 2011-12 season. Following New York and Golden State, Lin made stops in Houston, Los Angeles, Charlotte, Brooklyn, Atlanta and Toronto. Over his nine-year run in the NBA, Lin is averaging 11.6 points on 43.3% shooting from the field with 4.3 assists, 2.8 rebounds and 1.1 steals in 25.5 minutes per contest.
Along with the G League Ignite team, the February bubble at Disney World will feature NBA veterans like Lance Stephenson, Michael Beasley, Emeka Okafor, Terrence Jones and former Golden State guard Jacob Evans.
