Ralph scouted third-seeded Marylandwhile assistant Marisa Moseley scouted Oregon. Nobody is taking the Ducks lightly; the Huskies will be well-prepared.
"I haven't really watched them except against Maryland," Ralph said. "I think obviously we have to do a really good job, better than we did [Saturday][, of containing their guard play. They run a lot of ball screens. We didn't do a good job with that with [UCLA's] Jordin Canada.
"[Freshman Sabrina] Ionescu is younger, less experienced, but she's still a really good guard. She's not as quick or athletic but she's smart and she can make threes. We have to do a good job of keeping her out of the lane and eliminating their open three-point looks."
Ionescu runs Oregon's attack, controls the tempo and is the team's second-leading scorer. She had 21 points in the 77-63 win over Maryland. Junior Lexi Bando, who had two big three-pointers in the second half against the Terps, is the second-leading three-point shooter in the country. Oregon is also pretty big – the Ducks have six players over 6 feet 3.
