Curry is the unquestionable MVP in regular season, and his playoff performance is not even close to his best form. It's a tough business. As great and as deep as this Warriors team is, it's too hard to win if your best player is not at the top of his game.
Designated defensive strategy, injuries, on- and off-court distractions, whatever it might be, nothing is new. All great players overcome those and thrive on the end. Curry failed in this year's finals. It's not the end of the world, but rather a tough lesson for Curry, Kerr, and the whole Warriors team. They are still contenders next year. Whether they will mature and rise above, it remains to be seen.
