NBA Trade Rumors and News: LA Clippers Would Trade Chris Paul for Kyrie Irving of the Cleveland

Almost every NBA teams are now in a process of searching the perfect piece that would fit their game before the trade deadline. Some of the teams a vocal about it, and yet some would rather keep their moves to themselves.
It is now being rumored that the LA Clippers are now making "exploratory calls" in the hopes of finding the perfect player that could boost their performance, especially on the offense. According to Steve Kyler of Basketball Insiders viaclipperholics;

"The Clippers have been up and down all season and have lost five of their last 10 games. Amid reports of infighting in the locker room, it seems the Clippers may be open to a splashy move if one surfaces." He also added that, "Sources close to the situation continue to say the Clippers are being opportunistic - saying if a solid player becomes available they'd do a deal - however, league sources say the Clippers may be more desperate than they'll admit, sensing that a major change is needed."

There is indeed a need for change with the Clippers line-up. And most likely the Doc Rivers would not immediately admit, especially that they are being seen as a contender this season. However, changes are to be made if they want to be on top of the game. According to yibada, "Rivers is not thinking about rebuilding or tanking for the future, of course. The recourse that SCIC suggests is to trade Chris Paul for Kyrie Irving of the Cleveland Cavaliers."

The suggestion of Sir Charles In Charge is of course logical. Times like this would require drastic move to be done, even if it would mean pressing the panic button. Sir Charles In Charge opined that, "And I firmly believe..Doc Rivers isn't going to sit idly by as his team continues to fail to live up to expectations. The Cleveland Cavaliers could benefit from a true point guard, distributing to Kevin Love and LeBron James, while the Clippers have use for a younger, explosive leader."
