Singapore Penal Code - Criminal Defamation 刑事誹謗

誹謗有刑事與民事之分，對嚴重的刑事誹謗，警方是可以介入的。刑事誹謗的十個例外包括Public conduct of public servants，Merits of a public performance等，所以李光耀作為公職人員較難引用這項法律。李葉明不是政府官員。

Defamation – A person criminally defames another person when he or she, by words either spoken or intended to be read, or by signs, or by visible representations, makes or publishes any imputation concerning the other person, intending to harm, or knowing or having reason to believe that such imputation will harm, the reputation of such person.[111] An imputation harms a person’s reputation if it directly or indirectly, in the estimation of others, lowers the moral or intellectual character of that person, or lowers the character of that person in respect of his or her caste or calling, or lowers the credit of that person, or causes it to be believed that the body of that person is in a loathsome state, or in a state generally considered as disgraceful.



我相信警方找到對方後，會給個警告或罰款了事。李葉明可以在民事上要求對方作個公開道歉就行了，不要讓大眾感到得理不饒人。
