柳永 《雨霖鈴》英譯

Cicadas shrill and weep sadly, 
And the pavilion stands in the dark gloomily, 
And the storm stops suddenly. 
I barely  drink the farewell drink inside the tent by the capital gate.
I want to stay longer here while the boat is waiting for me imperatively there.

Holding your hands and gazing at your eyes, 
we cannot say a word, only bursting into tears. 
Imaging miles and miles away, misty and cloudy sky is on my way. 
It is always sorrowful when lovers have to be apart, 
not to mention at this dim autumn time.

Where will I wake up from my drunkenness tonight? 
at the willow banks, 
with the waning moon, 
in a chilly morning blow.

From now on and many years ahead, 
beautiful days and lovely scenes will mean nothing to me. 
Even if I have many words to say and love to give, 
I don't have anyone by my side to hear and to share.

寒蟬淒切，
對長亭晚，
驟雨初歇。
都門帳飲無緒，
留戀處，蘭舟摧發。

執手相看淚眼，
竟無語凝噎。
念去去千裏煙波，
暮靄沈沈楚天闊。
多情自古傷離別，
更那堪冷落清秋節。

今宵酒醒何處，
楊柳岸、
曉風殘月。

此去經年，
應是良辰好景虛設。
便縱有千種風情，
更與何人說。
