所以死亡沒有統領的權力         

 Dead men naked they shall be one

死人赤身裸體他們將和            

 With the man in the wind

風中的人與西方月亮                            

and the west moon;  

融為一體;                                  

 When their bones are picked clean  

當他們的骨頭被挑剔幹淨                   

and the clean bones gone,    

當幹淨的骨頭消失，                                

 They shall have stars at elbow and foot;

 他們將有星星在胳膊和腳底；

 Though they go mad they shall be sane,  

雖然發瘋也將清醒，      

Though they sink through the sea

雖然沉入海底                   

 they shall rise again;

也將再次升起；                                          

 Though lovers be lost love shall not;   

  雖然失去愛人但愛情不會失去；         

 And death shall have no dominion.
