死亡亦無力 （譯）

And Death Shall Have No Dominion          死亡亦無力

And death shall have no dominion.              死亡不會有力

 Dead men naked they shall be one             死去的身軀（隻是）乘風而去

 With the man in the wind                            與西方的月亮 

and the west moon;                                      溶為一體

 When their bones are picked clean                      屍骨既寒

and the clean bones gone,                                     隨風已去

 They shall have stars at elbow and foot;         群星畢集 托起軀體

 Though they go mad they shall be sane,         即使瘋狂，終會清醒

Though they sink through the sea                      即使沉入了海底，

 they shall rise again;                                           軀體仍會重新升起

 Though lovers be lost love shall not;             愛人失去了，愛情存（心底）  

 And death shall have no dominion.                       死亡亦無力

 

And death shall have no dominion.                       死亡沒有力 

 Under the windings of the sea                   在海洋灣流下長眠的（身軀）

 They lying long shall not die windily;               並不是在海風裏死去

Twisting on racks when sinews give way,          刑架上扭曲的（身體）會漸漸無力

Strapped to a wheel, yet they shall not break;   刑車鞭撻的（身軀）卻不會分離

 Faith in their hands shall snap in two,               （隻要）一絲邪惡穿過了身體

 And the unicorn evils run them through;             忠誠就會裂在手裏

 Split all ends up they shan't crack;                  分裂終將停止 身軀不會碎去

 And death shall have no dominion.                          死亡也無力 

 

And death shall have no dominion.                      死亡不會有力

 No more may gulls cry at their ears                    狂濤拍岸聲如細

 Or waves break loud on the seashores;              鷗泣絲絲亦無氣 

 Where blew a flower may a flower no more       風吹花落不再

 Lift its head to the blows of the rain;                  抬頭更向風雨

 Though they be mad and dead as nails,             死亡如釘，令人瘋狂

 Heads of the characters hammer through daisies;+     頭軀似榔，迎菊（飄香）

 Break in the sun till the sun breaks down,           焚身於日，日也將亡

 And death shall have no dominion.                    （這）死亡 亦無力
