2012 has not been a good year for me to accumulate frequent flight mileages. The furthest that I traveled was to Holland MI, which is within a stone throw away across the Michigan Lake from my home base Chicago. Chicago is where I spent many weekends with my trusty D7000. In addition to old favorite spots the likes of Adler by the lakefront and Hancock 94th floor observatory, I ventured into lesser known part of the city sometimes in company of Chicagoan Chinese Photographers. The interaction with these photographers and many of you on here inspired me to give a shot at photo project. I started two long term personal projects: 1) Chicago Moods; 2) Stars and Stripes. 2012, there were no thrilling adventures, nor exotic destinations to photo. However, the conversations in a car on the I-90, the conversation in the little hotel lobby Valparaiso IN, the conversations in the photo emails made my 2012 just as memorable as past years.
