Working on my long lens technique

Thre things I am working on - put left hand on the lens to reduce shaking, change the metering to single point, and add some sharpness from software.  Still could not understand what they said "roll your finger" for shutter release.  When the shutter is press down, there is definitely some shaking.

For some reason, only this small birds are coming.  The white area right under their eyes are just impossible to get good contrast.
