One day afternoon, when I walked on the lawn right under my apartment, a cat ran straight to me. I didn’t actually know it was male or what, but I prefer to call her “she”.
She was an ordinary looking cat, not much difference from those wild visitors on my balcony. I usually put milk and food for their picnic.
I found local telephone number and name on the pendent plate on her neck. Maybe she had been adopted but still had the nature of wandering the world. And she was allowed to enjoy the freedom with a necklace to secure .
I didn’t even flash a thought to call the number. I went up stair to get my camera and spent an hour to play with her.
Both of us enjoyed the playful moments with her fat furry body snuggling against my lap or creeping under my legs, smelling my feet.....
Later, she almost felt asleep on my stomach.
It is heavenly beautiful when animal have full trust in human and share harmonious peaceful time together. However, it was not as comfortable for me to sleep on the grass. I gently put her back on the grass and waved goodbye.
A vivid memory on the first sight of her -------- across the light and shadow of summer afternoon, a stranger cat was running to me, very fast, like a meatball bullet......
