I believe you both are basically correct!

I inaccurately claimed that medium format lens have better optical resolutions than 135 lens'. (thanks Yunman and Waycool for pointing it out). It is certainly not true for most MF lens. As for Mamiya's, I still believe theirs are equal to or better than many prime 135 lens', though it's only based on my recollection years ago, I have to admit. So, I have to say Waycool's opinion is at least pretty close to the reality.

蟲兄 was talking about it in a more practical way, a much better way to explain it than mine. Say, we compare 60-inch prints from a decent MF and a decent digital 135, which is better? I don't know other MFs. But for Mamiya 7, I absolutely believe Mamiya would win, because I have to believe my own eyes :).

But does it matter?  For most peope, it dosen't.  We amateurs rarely produce such larg prints. The largest prints I ever produced was 44 X 13, which already show Mamiya's advantage.
