For me, I no longer need to choose between fast focus and high image quality (high MP with good high ISO noise).
Canon was sitting still previously with 5D's AF system because Nikon did not a cheaper camera with high MP. But D800 with 36MP forced Canon to make 5D3 having pro level AF (don't tell me that Canon found out D800's 36MP only 2 weeks ago).
