蜘蛛猴是懸猴科中的特殊成員之一，也是猿猴類中最有趣的一種動物。懸猴科動 蜘蛛猴 物有一根卷曲的尾巴，這根尾巴既有平衡身體的作用，又有抓曳食物、懸吊軀體的功能。主要種類有夜猴、吼猴、卷尾猴和蜘蛛猴等。其中又以蜘蛛猴的尾巴最為奇妙。蜘蛛猴動作特別敏捷，主要棲息在從墨西哥到巴西的森林中，已知的蛛蜘猴有4種。蜘蛛猴瘦高個子，但有點大腹便便。身長約35～66厘米。四肢細長，手沒有拇指。毛茸茸的尾巴約有60～92厘米長，很會抓住樹枝，其功能有點像手。幾種蜘蛛猴的頭發顏色不一，有灰色、紅色、深褐色和黑色幾種。長短和濃密的程度也不一樣。(By 百度）。 懾於Birmingham動物園。 1. 2. 3. 4.
