經過一番對峙，小鷹決定采用迂回戰術。畢竟是午餐時間了，沒必要跟蛇耗著。於是飛到柵欄另一側逮了一隻地鼠（field mouse）。躍上柵欄享用起來。

9. 今天雖然沒吃到蛇，但是搶了蛇的午餐，要知道蛇也是衝地鼠來的。想到這，小鷹愉快地飛走了。至此鷹蛇戰成平局。
