新墨西哥州的白沙公園(White Sands National Monument）

白沙公園位於新墨西哥州的Alamogordo 附近。

據說，那白沙是在冰河時期（Ice Age)，由石膏石(Gypsum)形成的。

那裏的白沙沙丘大約有275平方英裏，白沙公園隻占40%，大約占地麵積為115平方英裏。

為保護白沙和便於人們參觀，1933年被定為：National Monument。
