The (greedy) lady did not mention she would take leagal action against you at all, and I'm sure she knows she doesn't have much ground to stand on anyway.

The document she referred to is the legal registration of the pedigree of these cats. Without it, your kittens do not have pedigree --名分. In her mind, people would not want cats if the cats do not have pedigree. Well, unforunately, some people ARE like that! So, she assumed that you would have no problem letting them -- the "useless" kitties-- go and then she could make a profit by selling them as officially pedigreed cats. Prove to her she is wrong -- you don't need her to come your rescue! You and the new families will love the kitties whether they have 名分 or not!

The document she referred to is not the document of ownership. You have the receipt of the purchase. So, don't worry, she CANNOT come after you! You need to be firm and confident! Be strong, OK?
