1942年5月14日浙贛會戰期間，日軍731部隊發動了人類有史以來最大規模的細菌戰

侵華日軍為摧毀中國浙江、江西地區的空軍機場，打擊國軍第三戰區主力發動浙贛會戰，在衢州、麗水等地大量撒播鼠疫、炭疽、霍亂、傷寒、副傷寒等細菌。造成約25萬中國軍民死亡。
