覺得有貶義的， 這詞是轉指窮苦農民， 和美國人常說的farmer 不同，

他的意思就是中國產品是中國的窮苦農民生產的， 就是中國的工人還是很窮， 未必是指整個中國都很窮.

peasants -- a poor farmer of low social status who owns or rents a small piece of land for cultivation (chiefly in historical use or with reference to subsistence farming in poorer countries).
