美國第二古老的快餐連鎖店A&W， 和麥當勞一樣也賣漢堡， 兩家競爭。多年前，麥家推出1／4磅漢堡，A家就用同麥家一樣的價格賣1／3磅的漢堡。很快，A家敗下陣。原因是，美國人認為4 比3大， 當然麥家的漢堡更合適。
