關於更名的問題

如果你的名字是王老五，拚音名字將是Wang Laowu或者Laowu Wang.  為了北美生活方便，很多華人都會加上一個英文名字。比如Lowell.  有人是經過更名手續的。有人是在申請綠卡時或其他場合自己加上的。逐漸成為合法名字。

Then your legal full name is:  Lowell Laowu Wang.

In everyday life, you are:  Lowell.

You can use your name as:
 
Lowell L. Wang
L. Laowu Wang
Lowell Wang
Laowu Wang
L. L. Wang
L. Wang

All of those are your legal names.  

In my 20 year's time of living and working in North America, either in USA or Canada, nobody ever brought up this issue.

但是，廈門政府非要我出具更名證明。

They are not sure if Lowell Laowu Wang is Laowu Wang.

其實，人家美國公司派一個代表到廈門辦事處，希望盡快開展工作。廈門政府在這些細節上計較什麽？這都跟廈門政府有什麽關係？

類似的各種手續已經幾個月了，還沒有結果。
