美國的無犯罪記錄證明是可以到local law Enforecement agency, i.e.Police department, Sheriff's etc. to get.All needs figure print.However, this is only barely cover the city or state you live. If you comitted a crime in another state, it won't reveal.

And also there is a limitation for the information people could find in the police computer, because for some types of crimes, it could be off limit after certain years.

More throurgh background check should be through FBI, and it normally takes 30 days. 

 

But for security cleance to enter some kind of jobs, it normally takes 6 months to go through all the areas, including the investigation of where you have travel during past years.
