今天窗外細雨沙沙，應該落雪的冬季卻下著小雨，雖然反常，還是很美。早上起來，聆聽巴赫的《B小調彌撒曲》。
西方古典音樂中，我最喜歡巴赫的《B小調彌撒曲》，作為天主教徒，不難理解這部作品，聆聽它，就如同置身於一個美麗神聖的彌撒。《B小調彌撒曲》，BWV232，是巴赫所寫成的一首大篇幅拉丁彌撒套曲。創作時間經曆25年。最先完成的可追溯至1724年，最後於作曲家去世前一年（即1749年）才被編成現時的樣式。
巴赫出身於虔誠的路德派信徒家庭，一生基本為路德派基督教堂服務，那麽他為什麽創作了如此輝煌巨大的羅馬天主教拉丁彌撒曲？這個音樂史上的謎一直為人所爭執討論，我看到有人甚至猜測巴赫是個Closet Catholic（披著路德教外衣的天主教徒）。這個問題隻能巴赫本人解答。無論如何，我認為巴赫對耶穌基督的信仰是真誠的，是堅定不移的，也是最感人的。
結構上，巴赫依循了傳統彌撒曲的五個部份。可是在標題和編排上，卻不是沿用傳統的劃分方式。他把全曲分為四個部份：第一部份稱為“彌撒”（Missa），包括了垂憐經和光榮頌；第二部份為“尼西亞信經”（Symbolum Nicenum），相應為信經；第三部份是聖哉經，這和拉丁彌撒相同；最後是“讚美頌、迎主曲、羔羊經及請賜平安”（Osanna, Benedictus, Agnus Dei et Dona nobis pacem），其中在聖哉經中，巴赫把本來羅馬天主教所采用的“你的光明充滿了天地”（Pleni sunt coeli et terra Gloria tua）變成為路德派所采納的“祂的光明充滿了天地”（Pleni sunt coeli et terra Gloria ejus）。
我借鑒拉丁文，英文的資料，按著自己的理解把這部作品翻譯成中文。現代西方好幾種語言都發展於拉丁文，如果你對照拉丁文與英文，就會發現相同之處很多。歌詞很簡單，就是彌撒祈禱文，反複不停的合唱與重唱。
