威斯敏斯特教堂開幕

 

威斯敏斯特教堂位於英國倫敦，於1065年由懺悔者愛德華祝聖並開放，成為英格蘭加冕禮和其他具有國家意義的儀式的地點。

The original Westminster Abbey, located in London, was consecrated and opened this day in 1065 by Edward the Confessor and became the site of coronations and other ceremonies of national significance in England.

 

1767

華人鄭信被擁立為泰國吞武裏王朝的首位國王

 

1767年12月28日，鄭信被擁為泰王，曆史上稱鄭皇。這是曆史上首位在海外當皇帝的華人。泰國政府在曼穀市吞武裏廣場中央建立了“鄭皇達信紀念碑“供人瞻仰。政府還規定每年的12月28日即吞武裏大帝登基之日為“鄭皇節”，以示以這位民族英雄的懷念。

 

1895

世界第一部電影首映

 

1895年12月28日，法國攝影師路易·盧米埃爾在巴黎卡布辛路的大咖啡館，用活動電影機舉行首次放映，獲得了巨大的成功，這被認為標誌著電影的誕生。

 

The first ever commercial film screening took place in Paris in March of 1895, shortly before the brothers opened their cinemas proper. Louis and Auguste Lumière spread the word about the demonstration of their invention taking place at the Grand Café in Paris. They showed a short film of workers leaving their factory.

The film did a wonderful job of showing off their Cinematographe, and they hosted this screening to the amazement of the attendees. After this successful debut, they screened a handful of short scenes of daily French life on 28th December of the same year. This time, they charged a fee for admission into the screening.

 

1885

印度國民大會黨成立

 

1885年12月28日，印度國民大會黨（簡稱國大黨）成立大會在孟買舉行。出席大會的有孟買、旁遮普和其他英屬印度各省的代表，他們大多是民族資產階級的上層分子、資產階級知識分子的富裕階層和農村地主。休謨也出席了大會。

1950年12月28日，政務院發布《關於管製美國在華財產凍結美國在華存款的命令》。鑒於美國政府已宣告管製我國在美國的公私財產，加劇對我國的敵視破壞活動，決定管製美國政府和美國企業在華的一切財產，凍結一切美國在華公私存款。
