幾十年來，中國人截枝(篡改意思）美國政客一段話，形容美國人說在朝鮮與中國打仗, 打錯了：

“我們在錯誤的時間，錯誤的地點，同錯誤的對手打了一場錯誤的戰爭”。

 

布萊德雷將軍的那段話是在1951年5月15日在美國參議院軍事外交委員會前作證的聲明，話題是在韓的聯軍總司令麥克阿瑟主張將韓戰戰事擴大至中國一事，原文是： 

1.  如果我們把戰爭擴大到共產黨中國，“那麽我們會被卷入到一場錯誤的時間，錯誤的地點, 同錯誤的對手打的一場錯誤的戰爭中。”
