Before joining PLA, he served in GMD's army for a few years

to fight Japanese. In total, he served in Chinese armies for about 15 years.

Again, his many friends were like him to serve both ROC and PRC. Then, struggling on field/land for food to raise us as ordinary farmers. The whole life about them is just a bowl of rice.
