Many people suggest and accept to NOT use a profession real estate agent or real estate attorney's help in buying a home. This is one of the result.
Actually it is general knowledge to know everying in real estate transaction must be in writing. any verbal agreement is not enforceable (at least in Texas that I always tell my friends and clients).
If you have asked this question to your own (not seller's agnet) and the agent must tell you check contract. Your contract usually has clause to tell the buyer's liability to check title, and inspect the property. The property description usually is inside the title document. And every real estate contract should remind you (at least every contract in state of Texas) to consult an attorney if you do not fully understand the document. You should not make such mistake. The right way is check such document with an esperienced real estate agent or real estate attorney.
So just complain your self and next time to know to put everything in writing. Do not trust anything verbal statement.
It is just a leason. Do not complain other people.
